East Wide Adventure Tours – Terms and Conditions for Payment
and Cancellations
1. Introduction
Welcome to East Wide Adventure Tours (“the Company”). By booking and paying for tours or any other services provided by the Company, you (“the Client”) agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure transparency, protect the rights of both parties, and confirm that East Wide Adventure Tours operates in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania and applicable international regulations.
2. Booking and Payment Terms
2.1. Booking Confirmation
Upon booking a tour with East Wide Adventure Tours, the Client is required to make a deposit amounting to at least 50% of the total tour price to secure the reservation. The remaining balance is to be paid no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled departure of the tour. For bookings made within 30 days of the departure date, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
2.2. Accepted Payment Methods
The Company accepts payments via bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and other recognized electronic payment platforms. All payments must be made in the currency specified in the booking invoice unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.
2.3. Payment Security
East Wide Adventure Tours assures the Client that all payments are processed
securely, and their financial information is protected. The Company is not responsible for any third-party fees or charges incurred as a result of the payment transaction.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
3.1. Client-Initiated Cancellations
If the Client wishes to cancel a confirmed tour booking, the following cancellation policies apply:
>>Cancellations made 60 days or more before the tour departure date: The Client will receive a full refund minus a 10% cancellation fee, which covers administrative costs.
>>Cancellations made between 30 and 59 days before the tour departure date: The Client will receive a refund of 50% of the total tour cost.
>>Cancellations made less than 30 days before the tour departure date: No refund will be provided unless agreed otherwise based on exceptional circumstances.
3.2. Company-Initiated Cancellations
The Company reserves the right to cancel a tour due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, political instability, or other force majeure events). In such cases, the Client will be entitled to a full refund or the option to reschedule the tour for a later date. No additional compensation will be provided unless otherwise required by law.
4. Compliance with Tanzanian Law
4.1. Legal Framework
East Wide Adventure Tours operates under the laws and regulations of the United Republic of Tanzania. In particular, the Company adheres to the Tourism Act (Cap 1 of 2008), which regulates the operation of tour companies in Tanzania. The Tourism Act stipulates that all companies must provide services that are in the best interest of the Client and must comply with national standards for tourism services.
4.2. Consumer Protection
The Company abides by the Tanzanian Fair Competition Act (Cap 285 of 2003), which protects consumers from unfair practices. This ensures that Clients are treated fairly, provided with accurate information about the tours, and are not subjected to fraudulent activities. Any disputes regarding consumer protection can be resolved through the Fair Competition Tribunal in Tanzania.
5. International Legal Compliance
In addition to Tanzanian laws, East Wide Adventure Tours also complies with
international laws and standards applicable to tourism. This includes, but is not limited to:
>>The International Consumer Protection and Enforcement Network (ICPEN), which ensures that cross-border tourism services meet international consumer protection standards.
>>The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, which promotes responsible, sustainable, and universally accessible tourism. By aligning with these international frameworks, East Wide Adventure Tours guarantees that the services provided are lawful, ethical, and in line with global tourism standards.
6. Non-Scam Assurance
East Wide Adventure Tours emphasizes that it is a legitimate business entity
registered in Tanzania, with all necessary licenses and permits to operate in the tourism sector. The Company’s registration details and tax compliance certificates can be made available upon request for verification.
