Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Taja Tours & Safaris (“the Company”). By booking and paying for safaris, mountain treks, or any other travel services provided by the Company, you (“the Client”) agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure transparency, protect the rights of both parties, and confirm that Taja Tours & Safaris operates in full compliance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania and applicable international tourism standards.

1. Booking and Payment Terms

1.1. Booking Confirmation: To secure a tour reservation with Taja Tours & Safaris, the Client is required to pay a deposit amounting to at least 50% of the total tour cost. The remaining balance must be cleared no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled tour departure date. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

1.2. Accepted Payment Methods: We accept secure electronic payments, bank wire transfers, and recognized credit/debit card payment links (such as Pesapal / Visa / Mastercard). All invoices are billed in USD unless otherwise agreed upon.

2. Cancellations and Refunds Policy

2.1. Client-Initiated Cancellations: If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, the following conditions apply:

• 60 days or more prior to departure: Full refund minus a 10% administrative and processing fee.
• Between 30 and 59 days prior to departure: 50% refund of the total tour cost.
• Less than 30 days prior to departure: No refund will be issued, barring exceptional force majeure situations.

2.2. Company-Initiated Cancellations: In the rare event that Taja Tours & Safaris must cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., severe natural disasters, political unrest, or government restrictions), clients will receive a 100% full refund or the option to reschedule their trip for future dates at no extra penalty.

3. Tanzanian Law & Consumer Protection

Taja Tours & Safaris is a fully licensed and legally registered tour operator based in Arusha, Tanzania. We strictly adhere to the Tanzania Tourism Act and consumer protection regulations governed by the Fair Competition Act. We guarantee transparent pricing with zero hidden fees and operate with absolute integrity and legitimacy.

4. International Standards & Ethics

Aligning with international tourism frameworks, including the UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism, Taja Tours & Safaris promotes sustainable, ethical, and responsible wildlife and mountain tourism across Tanzania's national parks and conservation areas.
